Customer: World Food Program
Ocean Logistics loaded 12 x 20ft shippping containers onboard our barge Ocean 3. These shipping containers were loaded by hand with food supplies; 25kg bags of rice, cartons of can fish, and packages of minute noodles. Tugboat Melissa made several voyages to the Ambrym, Paama, Shepherds Islands, Tanna and Tafea Outer Islands. At all locatios the food aid was discharged by hand from local volunteers. In total Ocean Logistics distributed over 700 tons of food aid which was over a third of all food aid distributed by World Food Program during Cyclone Pam.
