When the MV Solomon Trader ran aground off Rennell Island in the Solomon Islands, it triggered a major oil spill that threatened the region’s delicate marine ecosystem and nearby communities.
In response, Ocean Logistics Limited, based in Port Vila, Vanuatu, quickly mobilized its team and resources to support the Solomon Islands in their time of need. Our crew joined the extensive cleanup effort, bringing their expertise and commitment to help protect and restore the local environment.
After 144 days on the ground working on the MV Solomon Trader salvage operation, the incredible crew of Tug Warringa has finally returned home to Port Vila!
We couldn’t be prouder of their efforts—and we’re especially glad they’re back just in time to celebrate Independence Day with their families.
